Patricia Moccia Obituary

Patricia Freeman Moccia, 64, of 7016 Poole Road, died Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Wake Med.
Patricia was born in Wake County on January 23, 1946 to the late Leonard H. Freeman and Annie Belle Hayes Freeman. She worked at Harris Wholesale, Inc. – Budweiser Distributor of Raleigh for 38 years as Vice President of Administration. Patricia was a longtime member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
Memorial service 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 6020 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610. Inurnment, church cemetery.
Surviving: husband, Jim Moccia; daughter, Cheri Moccia (Wesley Hawkins); sisters, Linda Morris (Gerald) of Zebulon, Carrie Hester of Raleigh; brother, Danny Freeman of Raleigh; many loved nieces and nephews; beloved grandpuppy, Kiki.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 and other times at the home.
Patricia’s family would like to express special thanks to Eastern Wake Fire and Rescue and Harris Wholesale, Inc. for their help and support during Patricia’s illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eastern Wake Fire and Rescue (Patricia Moccia Memorial Fund), 4828 Clifton Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.

Jim,Cheri, I am so sorry I could not make it to the wake nor the funeral.After I last saw you I went home so I could attach my Tens unit and could not get out of bed until late the next day.
I hope to come by again when I am better.

Jim, Cheri and Family. My heart goes out to you. What a beautiful lady both inside and out. We had some great times together at Harris Wholesale and I know how much she will be missed. Jim, Cheri and Linda and family, Our love, thoughts and prayers are with all of you. It can be so difficult watching the ones we love suffer through an illness. It can also be very difficult to let them go. We miss them so much but have so many precious memories to cherish in our hearts and minds.
