Paul McClain, a long time resident of Raleigh, passed away at Duke Medical Center after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy, and son, Rob McClain and his sister Gail Hill. He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Tom and an infant daughter, Meghan. Paul loved and was much beloved by his family and many close friends and his passing leaves all with heavy hearts.
Per Paul's request, there will be a Celebration of his life on Saturday, July 22 at William Umstead State Park at the Crabtree Pavilion #1 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., where friends and family will gather. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Duke Cancer Research Center in his name. Please log on to http://dukecancerfund.org/get-involved/ for details.

Just saw this. Paul was a great guy. Worked with him thru the 70's. My brother Jim just passed also. Paul and Jim. We all worked in Puerto Rico for a few years. Some great times. My condolences to Cathy and family.
