Phyllis Minter Evans, 62, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 at WakeMed in Cary surrounded by her family. Left to cherish her memories husband Richard Evans of the home, daughter Stephanie Minter (Raleigh) son Damarcus Minter of the home; god-daughter Tanika Howard, god-son Tevon Jeffreys both of Raleigh; father, Garfield Minter; sisters, Bertha Davis (Ben), Brenda Minter, Patricia Gail Crosby (Kent), Alison Lyles (Rev. Charles); brothers, Charles Minter (Liz), Malcolm "Mack" Minter (Mary Ann), Melvin Minter, Gregory Minter (Pam), Bernard Minter (Pearl); 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Albright Funeral Home Apex, NC.

Richard, We are going to really miss the smiles of Phyllis as well as her seat in the choir stand and her dedication to the office as choir president.

My condolences to Richard, Stephanie, Demarcus & everyone affected by the loss of sweet Phyllis. My fondest memory of Phyllis is when she would pick me up almost EVERY Friday on that gray Buick, with Keyonta (a baby at the time) & off to Cary we would go! It seemed like I lived with them or Stephanie was on Schieffelin Rd. with me! So, Phyllis will forever be remembered in my as my other Apex mom....Sleep in Paradise, Phyllis!
