Polly Daniel Ellis, 72, of Wilson, died Monday. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Tom Watkins will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday immediately following the service. Mrs. Ellis is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ralph A. Ellis; a daughter, Jolyn Ellis Crane and husband, Bruce of Wake Forest; a son, David R. Ellis of Wilson; two granddaughters, Morgan Haley Crane of Wake Forest and Leslie Page Ellis of Wilson; two grandsons, Barrett Daniel Ellis and Aaron Edward Ellis both of Wilson; two sisters, Temple Pierce of Kinston and Mary D. Atkinson of Garner; and a brother, Al Daniel of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, A. Thomas Daniel and Mary Lee Barnes Daniel. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory may be directed to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 403 East Front St., New Bern, NC 28560-4916 or to WilMed Hospice, 1705 Tarboro St., SW, Wilson, NC 27893.
