Hard to hear that my good friend has died leaving a deep "Saudade" .Saudade is a untranslatable Portuguese term that refers to the melancholic longing or yearning. A recurring theme in Portuguese and Brazilian literature, saudaderefers to a sense of loneliness andincompleteness.
That how we feel loosing a friend like Bob Bode, since 1991 a good loyal friend, advisor, lawyer of my Companies and beautiful family man. Bob is unforgettable!
Our deepest condolences to the Bode family in special to Sherry,Richard, and Catherine.

I am extremely sadden to have recently learned of Bob's passing. My deepest condolences are extended to Bob's wife Sherry and his entire family. Bob and I were law school classmates but much more than that we were great friends.
I am forever grateful for the wise counsel and advice both Bob and his brother John shared with me over the many years of my professional and political endeavors. Please know that my prayers are offered for the comfort of his family on their tremendous loss.

Bob & I became friends when we were in Jr. High & continued that relationship through college & as lawyers practicing in Raleigh. He was a quality individual.
