I didn't know Bob, but was so glad to know that he ran the Chidester hardware stores in Milwaukee. When I was growing up, the Chidester Hardware Store on Bluemound Road in the Milwaukee area was the closest one we had.

Bittersweet to hear of Bob's going home. He let his light shine and will be missed here. Glory to God!

Bob was my dear friend and prayer partner for nearly 10 years. Each week we would pray together, usually on the phone, but occasionally in person. He was a godly man and a joyful presence in my life. I will miss him greatly, but look forward to seeing him again in Heaven. My deepest sympathies to his family and his many, many other friends.

I am very sorry for your family's loss. Remember that you are never alone during times of loss. God promises to be with you in difficult times, 'to give you thoughts of peace and a hope'. Jeremiah 29:11,12

Suprised and heart broken to hear about Bob. Friend, school mate, and neighbor, for over 75 years. My heart goes out to his family here in Ohio, and North Carolina. A true Christian, and a person that was liked by all, he will be missed and mourned by many. Just this last May, he, is brother Tom and I all participated in the Memorial Day parade in our home town of Grandview Heights. It's hard to accept his eternal absence, but sadly, life must go on. Aways in my thoughts! Wallace P. Cash, Hilliard, OH

It was a pleasure knowing Bob. We will always treasure the Jesus Calling book he gave us. Bob will be missed by many.
