"Bob" Gamble
Raleigh
Robert R. Gamble, 58 passed into Glory on August 26, 2015. Bob is survived by his wife Merri Ellen Gamble of Raleigh NC, brother Robert C. Gamble, sister Laura Gamble; children, Christine Miller, Richard Gamble, Lee Gamble; 20 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson. He was a member of Raleigh First Assembly.
He was a laborer for Christ, a passionate worshiper, a man of prayer and a believer with a testimony. His last moments were spent listening to worship music and hearing words of prayer as he slipped into the arms of Jesus. A sunrise memorial service will be held in the Gulf of Mexico at Fort Walton Beach, FL. Merri Ellen would like to thank Comfort Keepers Raleigh, Rex Home Care, Transitions Life Care, and the incredible medical team of UNC Chapel Hill Hospital for their care of Bob during his illness. www.cremationsocietync.com

It has been a privilege to have known this gentle man, who made my big sister so happy, and touched so many people with his words of prayer, love, and encouragement. We consider it an honor to share the beautiful Gulf of Mexico with Bob forever, and bring my family closer together, so we may take strength from one another in this time of healing. Thank you Bob and Merri for taking such great care of Dad in his final years. Words can not describe how grateful I am he had you two, with your patience and understanding, and how that brought us all great comfort. Bob, you can now fish for eternity in the endless seas of heaven. Catch me a "big one".

We were privileged to be a part of Bob's life and saw first hand his love for the Lord and his beautiful wife. Together, they served God so faithfully. We don't mourn without the blessed hope that one day Bob, we'll see you again. Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you and the family Merri Ellen in the days and weeks to come. What a wonder man of God Bob was. Everyone who knew him has been truly blessed by his kind heart. My prayers are with you Merriellen and to all of Bob's family. So happy that Bob is sitting next to Jesus in glory!!!
