Wake Forest, North Carolina - Robert Elton Moore went to be with the lord on July 24, 2022. Robert was born April 7, 1937 to Tollie and Geneva Moore of Wake Forest, NC. He was proceeded in death by brothers William Tilley, Raymond Tilley, Alvin Moore. Sisters Mildred Moore Perry Grenier, Vivian Moore Radford. His wife Lecta Lynam Moore. Parents Tollie and Geneva Upchurch Tilley Moore. Survived by his brothers Maynard Moore of Excelsior Springs, MO, Linwood Moore of Taylorsville, NC, Harold Moore of Raleigh, NC, and Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robert worked for 2 years at Glen Royal Cotton Mill, 7 years at Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore, MD, several years at Watson seafood and poultry driving a truck, 18 years at NC state of corrections driving a semi-truck. Robert was a lifetime resident of Wake Forest, NC. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He was a lifetime member of the Glen Royal Baptist Church. He was well-liked and respected by all that knew him. He was a businessman in Wake Forest. He was a man that could make you laugh and smile. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
Visitation will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, July 28, 2022, with Funeral Services following 12:00pm at Glen Royal Baptist Church, 731 Elizabeth Ave, Wake Forest, NC. Burial Will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
