Robert Herman Raines, Jr.
Wilmington
Robert Herman Raines, Jr., 81, of Wilmington passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in the presence of his family.
He was born on June 28, 1931 in Wake Co., NC to the late Robert and Mildred Raines.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, of 35 years, Jeannette Raines; 2 step children, Ernest Moore, Jr. and Mike Moore; 3 grandchildren, Austin Murray, Megan Love, Chance Moore and Hunter Moore; and 4 great grandchildren.
Bob knew his purpose in life and enjoyed helping family. He placed everyone else before himself. Bob loved his family dearly.
The family is grateful to their lifelong friends and their friends at Fellowship Baptist Church for their compassion and thoughtfulness in their time of need.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Arnold Griffin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
