Ellie and Family,
Like everyone I'm sorry to hear about Roberta. I did work on her house and we quickly became friends and both of you were kind enough to include me in your famous Christmas party.
She was so proud of you and all of her story's included you and your dad.
I know she will be missed by everyone that knew her.

Ellie, I was sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was a very kind person who was also a friend to my mom in scouting. She was one of my leaders in troop 416 and how I came to meet you. I have many fond memories of scouting adventures with her (and you!) I know she will be remembered by many as a wonderful example of selflessness.

Until her health declined severely, Roberta was an active member of Cary Unit 67, American Legion Auxiliary. She used to organize the Salvation Army Christmas Stocking program for the unit. Roberta was the smiling "ticket lady" at Unit 67's fundraisers. We shall miss her.--Jane Hoppenworth, Unit President

Roberta's family--So sorry to see the news of Roberta's passing this morning. I have such fond memories of Roberta and Doug and their tireless commitment to helping those in need through Habitat. I first connected with them in Lynchburg and then in Wake and always loved how personally Roberta would take getting things exactly right on site for Doug and for the other volunteers. She was quite a host. I remember, too Roberta and Doug hosting our son Nathan as we moved to Cary from Georgia. My prayers are with your family at this time. Blessings, Kevin Campbell
