'Bee Happy'.

Dear Helen,
I am just now learning of Ron´s passing from this Earth. I am so sorry. Ron was one of the most decent people I have ever known - a tribute to his faith and the family who inspired him. I was proud to call him my friend.
I fondly remember the many fishing trips Ron and I had together on Falls of the Neuse Lake - a lot of fishing, but not much catching, but we enjoyed the camaraderie.
I especially remember the time one February when I conned him into going with me to The Neuse River near Grifton to fish the annual shad run. Brutally cold. We hadn´t made more than a dozen casts before we noticed the lures were going less and less far out. Upon examination, we realized the eyelets on the fishing rods were freezing shut and binding the fishing line. We hauled he boat out and found a local restaurant that served a warm breakfast. Hot coffee never tasted so good!
Jan and I enjoyed the times we shared with you and Ron at Tommy´s Campground at Swansboro; although our schedules seldom coincided.
Helen, I know Ron has only been gone a year, and for me, Jan has been gone 10 years. I can tell you that little by little, life goes on, but you never forget them. Know that I will never forget Ron either. I wish you all the best.
- Bob
