Cary
Ronnie Lee Stevens a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away August 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. A native of Cary, NC he graduated from Cary High School. After serving in the US Army, he began his 30 year career at Southern Bell. Upon his retirement, he owned and operated a Grocery Boy, Jr. where he continued to enjoy coffee and fellowship every morning until shortly before his death.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Hallie and Agnes Stevens; sisters, Doris Denning and Ellen Layton; and brother, Gus Stevens. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nancy Stevens; son and wife, Craig and Julie Stevens; daughter and husband, Kimberly and Mike Grant; son, Brian Stevens and girlfriend, Alissa Urick; grandchildren, Nick Stevens, Jeffrey and Krista Stevens, Connor Stevens, Morgan Grant, Drake Stevens and Hallie Stevens.
A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, August 7, 4:00 p.m. at the Mayton Inn, 301 South Academy Street Cary NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and at other times at the Stevens' home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cary Area EMS, Post Office Box 2, Cary, NC 27512.
