Justin, Lanna, Jad and family, I think of Samar every day as I recite surah Al Falaq because she was the one who taught me how to read it in Arabic. I really miss her. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajeeun.

Justin,
I pray for the strength to get through the next phase of your life. Samar was a pure, strong and loving woman and even tho I had only known you all for a short time you could feel the love that your whole family had for eachother! The way your extended family came from every corner of the world to help get you through the last year is testiment to her. My favourite memory will always be the day Samar snuck in to work for an hour at school and the look of pure joy on Jads face to have her there. That pure love for thier mother will get them through this. Lanna and Jad are her legacy to you. May you find peace knowing the she isn't suffering any longer.

Khalti Samar habibti,

I know we have been close for a while, but I'm especially glad and lucky that I moved from NC to ME for pharm school in August 2010.

Since that time I've visited you and your family so much, became closer with you, and seen the disgusting effects of cancer. Even though 11/26/2011 was the last day I saw you, there will never be a day where I don't think of you.

Love and Miss you. ??? ??? ???? ???? ??????

Justin, Lanna, Jad and the Badwan family: Samar was very special to me. We met at Middlesex Hospital, became fast friends and even had an iftar at the hospital because our co-workers had so many questions about Islam and fasting. She tutored me in Arabic (so patiently!), always made the best tea for me along with something sweet to eat...such a gracious hostess! She loved her family so much and I'm happy to have met many of those whom she loved and loved her. I will always remember her.

Justin, Lanna, and Jad - My heartfelt sympathies go out to all of you. You lost your wife and mother way too early in life. Samar seemed like an exceptional wife, mother, and person. Try to find comfort with the memories that you have with her and know that she will always be in your hearts and her love will always be with you.

Justin - my heart goes out to you and your two children. Samar was a beautiful person that I was fortunate enough to get to know at Nursery School. I always think of her as such a loving mother and an extremely strong person. When I think of her I always thin of how she would take picture after picture of all the kids at the nursery school. She will be missed.

Samar - I cannot believe you're gone. I wish I had told you what a pleasure it was having you as a neighbor and friend. Thank you for all of the talks and advice you gave me on my kids and life. I didn't know you for very long but you have impacted my life tremendously. ~The measure of a person's life, especially one taken from us far too soon, is not counted in years but by the amount of lives she affected because she lived.~ I will miss you but you will remain in my memories and heart forever.
