Samuel Michael Cederas, 55, husband to the love of his life, Melissa W-Cederas, who loved him more than life itself, passed away on 4-5-2018 at their home in Clayton, NC. Sam was born in Athens, Greece on March 27, 1963 and was adopted by Michael and Penelope Cederas of Cary, NC. Sam was loved by everyone he knew. Sam worked for the last decade for Shaw University as an IT Specialist and was well known as the "ID Guy". Sam's favorite past-time was going to the beach and driving the highways of North Carolina. He also enjoyed amateur radio and was willing to help everyone, he always had your back, he loved to joke around, he was a man of honor, and a kid at heart. Survivors include his biological daughter Zoe Cederas and two step-daughters, Allisyn Z Williams & Corinna C Williams. His funeral will be held at 4:00pm, Wednesday, 4-11-2018 at Cleveland Community Church (C3), 8246 Cleveland Rd, Clayton, NC 27520.

Sam was my friend! He was selfless, always willing to help! He had a great sense of humor and was always soft spoken! My condolences to his family especially Zoe whom he shared with us many days at Shaw! May God keep you all during this difficult time. He is greatly missed but resting in the arms of The Almighty! We will always cherish the times we shared with Sam at our home. We have found memories of him and will miss his smile. I especially appreciate the times shared with his daughter Zoe. Zoe used to hang out with my granddaughter Lauren while Sam worked on my computer. Sam loved her,she meant the world to him.I would fix dinner for him, he loved to eat. Finely he meet the love of his life. Our hearts goes out to the family. You will be missed Sam.

Sam was one of my best friends for almost 30 years. Sam and his great sense of humor will be greatly missed. From the ham radio events, to beach trips, to mountain camping tips and our love of NC State athletics, it is hard to believe that he is gone. I am thankful for the great memories that I have of Sam and our group of friends that did so many fun things together. I pray for God's peace for Sam's family and friends left behind that will miss him greatly. I look forward to seeing Sam again one day and until then know that he is resting in the arms of Christ.

Sam was a good friend for around 30 years. We had many a Friday night meal together and attended Wolfpack sporting events. He was always fun and funny. Both of my daughters loved him and so did I. He also fixed my home computers more than a few times. He will be greatly missed!

I will always cherish the times shared with Sam at Shaw University. I have found memories of him and will miss his quirky jokes and smile. I especially appreciate the times shared with his daughter Zoe. Zoe used to hang out on campus with my daughter Valana. Sam's eyes would sparkle every time I asked about Zoe.
