Pat & family,

We are so sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. We found out through daughter Susan's phone call this morning.

Please accept our condolences. There are never the right words to convey the loss of our loved ones but please know you and the rest of the Piglia family are in our prayers and hearts at this difficult time.

I personally never met Sandy, but remember with a smile the Christmas cards she would sign with such kind and friendly notes. I feel as though we are no strangers.

Jon talks fondly of the early years when you were living close by. We'll send cards.

Much love...

Pat,
So sorry to hear about Sandy. I remember the rare visits she made to National, usually when you two were on the way to the airport, but especially remember the two visits Roy and I made to SC after our retirement. You were both great hosts in letting us stay in your beautiful home and showing us Charleston. What a special person she was.

Dear Pat, Prayers are with you and the family on the death of Sandra. What a gift you had with her and she with you. She was a wonderful blessing to Christ Our King and certainly for me personally. As a Eucharistic Minister her time was given so generously to so many sick and dying. Many of whom she met again on August 3rd. May the God of healing ease your pain and sustain you always. Know you are in my prayers.

Sandy was one of my favorite's! She always greeted me with a warm hug and smile and made me feel like her brother. I will always remember her as being very gracious and in a class of her own. I will miss her but I know she is in heaven and will be watching over us.

I remember the time when she had Maria and I over for Thanksgiving dinner one year and I went 'overboard' on the dressing. I told her how much I liked them and the taste has something different in it. She started laughing and I didn't know why. She explained that the secret ingredient was clams or some such fish addition. She laughed because she knew I wouldn't eat anything out of the water but I raved about this dish. From then on I always asked her what was in the meals before I ate them and she always reminded me of the fishy-dressing.

Sandy was a very, very good person and I always looked up to her!
