Shelby Lewter Obituary
Apex
Shelby Jean Lewter, 72, passed away November 26, 2015 at her home. Born on July 2, 1943 in Randolph County; she was the daughter of the late Jonathan and Lena Rollins. Shelby retired after 35 years with Lufkin, was a member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church and loved her family, flowers, horse buggy rides and watching WWE wrestling.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years: Jerry B. Lewter; two sons: Michael Lewter and Jerry Jr. and wife Michelle Lewter, all of Apex; grandchildren: Crystal, Brittany, Tanner and Olivia; siblings: Jonathan Monroe Rollins, Jr. and wife Dottie, of Asheboro, Linda Faye Cagle and the late Willie Cagle, of Asheboro and Emily Jane Rollins Williams and husband Ted, of Laurinburg; and by other family and friends.
Special thanks to Ethel Sears and June Hartley for their daily visits with Shelby – they meant so much to her and the family.
Family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6-8 pm at Apex Funeral Home, with Funeral Services held on Monday at 11 AM at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Apex Cemetery.
