Dear Mildred, Fran, and all of of Sidney's family members I was so saddened to learn of her death. Mildred, I wish we could have had more time to talk about her the day of Sarah Fleming's death. You and Fran know how dear she was to me as a young lady growing up and becoming the woman she was. She will always be the vivacious, beautiful, and intelligent young lady I knew growing up. I felt as though I was her second mom. God bless you through the sad days to follow. I send my love and sympathy to all of you. Sincerely, Mrs. Becky Long, 1405 Wilson, N. C. 27896

Reggie, Susan and family,
I had the pleasure of working with Sidney in the AG program. Always the consumate professional whose body of work will be used for years to come, her legacy will be the children whose lives she touched each and every day as a teacher. Those of us whose life she touched will feel a bit empty but her strength in adversity will buoy us to continue what she has started,

Grant to her, oh Lord, eternal rest and bless her family with many wonderful memories that she leaves as her legacy.
