Sondra was one of my very best friends. She, Mel and I had tons of fun in high school and we all had the pleasure of reconnecting during one of the class reunions after being disconnected for years. She and Mel are always on my mind and I recently viewed photographs of us while organizing; I smiled.

What an awesome friend and such an amazing woman! I will miss you Sondra Lee! Too many fond memories to even list. Your smile, laughter and thoughtfulness will be the memories I will cherish the most. Knowing you, your mother and father have made my life all the better. We were true friends over 30 years. Even though we didn't get together that often after I married and moved away, we were always reunited and laughed and talked as always.
Much Love,

Sondra was a great friend and person. She always displayed that big smile and positive outlook on life. I always look forward to seeing her at the CIAA Tournament or in Goldsboro during Reunion Weekend. Even though there were gaps in the times we would communicate or see one another, we just connected in conversation and laughter when we did see each other like old times. I will miss her and cherish our last conversation in the parking lot at the Triangle Town Center Mall in Raleigh. God Bless!!!

Sondra,You were my little sister, just like Rita. I'll never forget all the nights I spent on Peele St in Goldsboro with you, Uncle Norvelle and Aunt Floretta. The times we shared at Aunt Laura Alice house in Smithfield, and just growing up around you.My heart is sad but I know you are reunited with your mom and dad whom I miss dearly. I'll ALWAYS love you like a sister. After all mom fed you your bottle and changed your diapers just like she did for the 7 of us. We were your brothers and sisters. When dad went to Vietnam Uncle Norvelle found us a house 2 streets over from your house so that he could watch out for us. When my daughter moved to NC for work, I called you and asked you to watch out for her since I'd be so far away. I knew that you would be there if she needed a mom away from home. You told me she'd be ok and you were right. I'll miss you at Family Reunion in 2 wks. It won't be the same without you there. My heart is so sad but I know we'll meet again! I'll Always Love You "FOREVER" cousin.

Sondra. It was great 'catching up' at MEAC 2014. You seemed to be enjoying yourself with your 'road buddies'. I cannot say your name or hear your name without thinking of Floretta and Norvelle. Many! Many! fond memories. Rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of working with her directly for several years and I will always cherish the memories of our friendship. I know you are dancing and smiling that huge smile now that you are with your mom and dad. Separated for a few years, but now back with the ones you loved the most. Sondra was such a light in our lives. Her kindness, intelligence, inspirational outlook, and her sense of humor made her so very dear to those of us who knew her in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She was always joyful, wise, and welcoming. Her life truly was "an inspiration, and her memory a benediction." I am so grateful that she was part of my life. We all miss her presence here, but she is free from pain, and reunited with her beloved ones. I offer my heartfelt condolences to and prayers of faith for her closest friends and family.
