Stephen Slater Lentz, 50, died Sunday. He was born in Montgomery County, PA, to the late Stephen Slater & Geraldine Massaro Lentz. He worked with VCI which he enjoyed very much. Prior to this he worked with Triangle Case Work for many years. Stephen was a musician for many years and had a passion for woodworking and was a master craftsman. He was a loving, supportive, husband and best friend to his wife and son. He was beloved by many and will be missed terribly.
Funeral service 11 a.m., Thursday, Thanksgiving Baptist Church, Selma.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Wilder Lentz, son, Stephen Earley Robert Lentz, both of the home, siblings, Amy Lutz (Mike) of Bloomsburg, PA , Lt. Col. Clif Prat, USA, Retired (Martha) of Virginia Beach, VA, father & mother-in-law, Earley & Rebecca Wilder of Selma brother-in-law, Jeff Wilder (Lou) of Northwest, sister-in-law, Jean Wilder Waugh (Phil) of Winston-Salem, many close nieces, nephews, & cherished family members.
Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell & other times at Earley & Rebecca's home.

I am so very sorry to learn this sad news. I grew up with Stephen! He was our neighbor in Churchville. And remember the whole family fondly. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers!
