T. Horton Obituary

T. Eustace Horton, 82, of 1925 Farrington Rd., Apex, died unexpectedly at home Sunday morning March10th. Eustace was a lifelong resident of the Bell's Community in Chatham County, and a devoted member of Bell's Baptist Church, where he served several terms as a deacon. In his early adult years, Eustace farmed...a passion he enjoyed throughout his life. However, he was most widely known as owner and operator of ""Horton's Paint, Hardware & Appliances."" The operation of his business for over 20 years gained him many friends and the respect of the downtown Apex Community. His wit, his infectious smile, and his love for fellow man will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on today, March 12th in the Bell's Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Bell's Cemetery. Rev. Rick Washington will officiate.
Mr. Horton was preceded in death by a daughter; Julia Horton Arnold in 1970.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years; Sallie M. Horton; a daughter, Elaine H. Matthews and husband Larry of Apex; and grandchildren, Eric and Rebecca Matthews of Apex.
Those wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to Bell's Baptist Church, 1274 Farrington Rd., Apex, NC 27502.
