Thadeus Bobbitt Obituary

MAY 13, 1942 - MARCH 25, 2005
Thadeus Wayne Bobbitt, Sr., 62, of 522 Alert Rd., died Friday morning. Thad was the son of the late Haywood Dean and Ruby Lee Inscoe Bobbitt and was a native of Franklin County. He was preceded in death by his son, Thadeus Wayne Bobbitt, Jr. Thad was a member and former deacon of Mountain Grove Baptist Church. He was a pilot and loved to fly and lived life to the fullest.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
Thad is survived by his wife of 44 years, Catherine B. Bobbitt; sons, Barry Bobbitt of Louisburg; Ronnie Bobbitt of Elizabeth City; sisters, Ruby Murray and Rose Gupton both of Louisburg; grandchildren, Justin Kyle Bobbitt, Cathy Bobbitt, Stephen Bobbitt, Barry Dean Bobbitt, Jr.; four great-grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 11 S. Boylan Ave. Raleigh, NC 27601 or the American Heart Association, 3131-100 RDU Center Dr., Morrisville, NC 27560.
The family will receive friends 7:00-8:30 p.m. Monday at Strickland FuneralHome, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg and other times at the home.
