Williamston
Thomas Burrus Brandon Jr, 88, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his home. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor James Proctor officiating; burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr Brandon was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and an elder. He was an avid hunter and sports participant and enthusiast
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Taylor Brandon, sons Thomas B. Brandon III and wife Sandra of Williamston and John D. Brandon of Laguna Beach California, daughter Elizabeth B. Sager and husband W. Laird of Kill Devil Hills, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.

Tom will always be missed here. He was a generous, kind and witty man who always had time to stop and talk with people and brighten their day with a joke and a smile. He leaves behind a family full of wonderful people (and an adoring dog named "Sport," who might as well have been one of his children!), who no doubt will carry on his legacy and all the important things he taught them during his long, good life on this earth that he loved and appreciated so much. Godspeed, dear Mr. Brandon. We'll never forget you. Love and friendship to our dear Lib, and to Tom III, John, Bet, and their families.
