My sincerest condolences to Tomeka's family and friends. Pastor Clifton Smith Jr. and First Lady Katie Smith of Miracle Temple Church of Evangelism welcomed me into their home and their hearts in 1987 while I was stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. My time with them and their family in North Carolina was brief but it left a lasting impression upon me.They showed me what family was truly about. Their legacy is now continued by their children: Pastor Mona Williamson, Elder Lucius Smith, and O'Linda Hamilton. At times, Tomeka was a woman of few words but when she did finally speak it was well worth listening to. Tomeka loved music, dancing, and singing as well as the company of good friends. She cherished her daughter (Christeena) and grandchildren (Christopher and Serenity). There will always be a part of me that considers Goldsboro to be home thanks to Tomeka and her family. Rest in Peace, Tina.
