Tommy Craft Obituary
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at his home, 2nd St. Hwy 122 North, Pinetops. He will be eulogized by his close friends, Retired U.S. Navy Admiral John Pearson, Judge Phil Carlton and Pastor Kris Wlliams of the Pinetops Methodist Church. Tommy graduate from Rocky Mount High School and attended East Carolina University. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from J.P. Taylor Universal Leaf Tobacco Co. after 40 years of service.
He is survived by his loving family, including his sister, Emma Jean Craft of Pinetops; brothers, Robert Pitt Craft and wife, Barbara of Rocky Mount, Joe Rogers Craft and wife, Bonnie, Tybee of Island, GA; Ben Donald Craft and wife, Mary Anne of Morehead City; six nephews; and one niece.
Family will receive friends with lunch being served following the service at his home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Leo Jenkins Cancer Center, 600 Moye Blvd., Room 178, Greenville, NC 27834, Edgecombe County Rescue Squad , P.O. Box 1156, Tarboro, NC 27886 or Jim Clack Cancer Foundation, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.
Arrangements are by Carlisle Funeral Home, Tarboro.

Jean, Bobby, Joe and Donald please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Tommy fought hard and now is free of pain. In recent years John Pearson and I seemed to rendezvous at Tommy's when we were in Pinetops. We will miss those get togethers.

As a friend of Bonnie and Joe, I am aware of how hard Tommy fought his cancer, and I am sure the support of his family meant a great deal to him. My heartfelt sympathy goes to Joe, Bonnie, and the entire Craft family.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. Tom was always our neighbor in Ky. on the tobacco market, we always looked forward to seeing one another like one big family. Cherishing the memories.
