I just heard the very sad news today. Tommy was one of the most kind, caring, genuine and positive people I have ever met. I came to know Tommy through a friend of mine who helped Tommy with many remodeling projects at his beach home on Topsail Island. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Tommy's family. I know God will ease your pain and comfort you. Tommy was a truly special person.

The Ward family, from Ahoskie, expresses their sympathy, and wants Tommy's family to know that we are thinking about them at this time. We have fond memories of his visits to Nags Head every summer, and have always been so appreciative of all the work he helped do on the cottage when he came to visit. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Tommy was without a doubt one of the most unforgettable and likable people I ever met. It was my pleasure to work with him for many years, to enjoy his humor, value his knowledge, and cherish his friendship. My heartfelt sympathy to the family.

He was a fantastic Uncle, I will miss him! I will always remember his funny stories he would tell around my Mom's kitchen table. Just recently he helped me further develop my sales carrier as he told me his "vitamin B story."

Tommy Temple was one of my favorite people on Earth. No one could make me laugh like TT and he always, without fail, lifted my spirits. His love of life and his family, the "Have I ever told you about...?" tales, his "opinions" (and as he would say..."Everybody's got one..."), his generous and inquisitive nature and his faith were hallmark "Tommy". He would circle the church bulletin with music that "I want Jerry to play that at my funeral..." and cross his arms and say "I am serious!" Tommy personified loyal and genuine friendship. On Saturday afternoon, I am going to spend some time remembering Tommy at a place he loved...Topsail Beach. Thanks for the memories, TT...
