Velma Whitfield Obituary
She is survived by daughters, Ruth W. Edmondson and son-in-law, Michael of Chapel Hill and Kathy W. Mathis and son-in-law, Gilbert of Morehead City; two grandsons, Michael B. Edmondson and Elie A. Edmondson, both of West Palm Beach, FL; one sister, Lela B. Leggett of Stokes; and a brother, William C. "Dick" Britton and wife, Doris of Williamston.
Thefuneral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Biggs Funeral Chapel in Williamston. Burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home.
