Verna Holder Obituary
Verna Mae is survived by two children, son, Bill Holder and wife, Betty Lynn of New Hill, NC, daughter, Sue Bolton and husband, Randy of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren, Christopher L. Bolton and Vanessa E. Holder; brothers, Leon Capps of Goldsboro, NC, Bob Capps of Knightdale, NC, sister, Rosa Lee Gautier of Clinton, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Wendell, NC.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 27 from 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 117 S. Academy St., Cary, NC.

Dear Sue and Bill, I was very saddened to hear abut the loss of your Mom. Although Nancy and I haven't seen you guys in years, I have fond memories of our childhoods together. Your parents were always very kind to us, and to our parents as they got older. Sue, I would like to be able to keep in touch with you in the future. My email address is [email protected]. Bill and family,
My memories of your mother are fond ones. She had such a kind and gentle soul about her but was also a very strong woman and I admired her so much for that. I enjoyed when she came to the office just to visit with me and when she and Betty would join us and bring us Red Hots for lunch from Ashford Drugs over the years. She was a remarkable woman and will be sadly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
