My family will always remember Ms. Vivian Irving, for she was a dear friend of my Mom & Dad. I enjoyed meeting with her and others for lunch in DC when she arranged for a group of Raleigh-nites to tour various museums in DC. That's just one memory of her that her family may not recall.
God Blessings are sent your way.

In memory of Miss Irving: The conversations and visits you had with my parents and my siblings will be fondly remembered. I would be remiss if I did not mention your visits to the museums in Washington, DC and the luncheons that followed. Miss Irving treated all in attendance and we enjoyed the outing. Miss Irving enhanced the lives of all who came in contact with her. The Grand Lady that she conducted herself when she was alive is
the Grand Lady she will be remembered.
Very sorry for the family's loss;deepest sympathy extended to each of you.

My dearest "Miss Vivian" I will miss you so much!! As a little girl I visited you with my mother, Eleanor Hedrick, and I have always felt that you were part of my family. Your accomplishments and the love you showed towards me for all those years were enlightening and such a comfort to me and my family. My mother loved you like a sister and always loved to tell me about the adventures she had with you...and there were many !! Rest in peace sweet lady and know that my family and I will always hold you in our hearts until we meet again !!

"Aunt" Vivian was truly a remarkable person who taught me to love travel and to enjoy life - all by way of example. When my mother was killed in 1975, she created a memory book for my daughter that we both treasure and use as a reference regularly. She touched many lives and made her community a better place.
