Barbara Ann (Walker) Larsen passed peacefully on July 31, 2016 in Santa Barbara. She was born on December 15, 1937 to Donald and Dorothy (Grelis) Walker at St. Francis Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.
Barbara attended San Roque Catholic School and graduated from Catholic High School in 1955. She then attended the Santa Barbara Business College.
She married George Tommasi on June 1, 1957 and they were stationed at the Itazuki U.S. Air Force Base in Fukuoka, Japan. This is where they were blessed with two lovely daughters, Georgine Marie and Louann Lynn. After a military career, George and Barbara and the three girls moved to Nashville, Tennessee where Barbara worked as the Secretary to the Dean of Medicine at Vanderbilt University. Barbara and the girls returned to California in 1971, where she worked for Southern California Gas Company of the next 29 years as a customer service representative.
Barbara was very outgoing, hospitable and she made friends wherever she went. She raised three loving daughters and worked full time. She had a great sense of fashion and was always a very classy lady. She was the water skiing queen and enjoyed many laps around Lake Nacimiento and never got her hair wet.
She belonged to the Leads Club and the Women's Club of Santa Barbara.
Barbara married Stanley Larsen in October of 1983. Barbara and Stanley knew each other from their time in grade school and high school. During their marriage they went on many trips together. Barbara was an adventurer and always enjoyed traveling and camping with family. Her life revolved around her adult children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
