Albert Testanero

Albert Testanero, age 80, of Danbury, died Saturday September 23, 2006, at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Rose F. Mattone Testanero.
Mr. Testanero was born in Rahway, N.J. October 17, 1925, a son of the late Vincenzo and Madelena Manes Testanero. He was a resident of Danbury most of his life and served in the Navy aboard the USS Boxer CV-21 in the Pacific during World War II. Formerly a hatter, he later worked for over 40 years as a pressman at Curtis Packaging in Sandy Hook until retiring in 1996. He was a former member of the Amerigo Vespucci Lodge and Germantown Volunteer Fire Department in Danbury as well as the Fireman's Duckpin Bowling League. He was an avid Giants and Yankees fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Tracy F.T. Miller and her husband Kurt of Brookfield, Alberta Testanero and her husband John Steward of New York City; three brothers, Angelo Testanero and Jack Testanero, both of Danbury, Arthur Testanero of Bethel; a sister, Theresa Bozzuto of Waterbury; two grandchildren, John Daniel Miller and Emily Rosenale Miller; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Lena Licursi and Jenny Davio and brothers, Connie Testanero and Eugene Testanero.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Brookfield. Burial with military honors in St. Peter's Cemetery, Danbury.
