Anne Benicewicz
August 26, 2023
Anne B. Benicewicz, 101, passed away on August 26, 2023 in Columbia, SC. She was predeceased by her husband, Chester A. Benicewicz, son, Capt. Richard C. Benicewicz (Army), daughter, Barbara Brammer and grandson, Derek B. Benicewicz. She is survived by her son Brian C. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Virginia Duff and granddaughters Renee Duff Rossman, Kimberly Duff Hassiak, and Nicole Duff Desantis, grandson John Duff, their spouses and many great-grandchildren.
Anne was born to the late Paul and Anna (Mockovak) Belorit in Danbury, CT on November 25, 1921 and attended a one-room school through grade 6. She graduated from Danbury High School ('39) and lived an adventurous life. After working in Washington, DC as a civilian employee for the Navy during WWII, she returned to Danbury and worked for several companies, but cherished the years she worked at Danbury Hospital before retirement. She spent many memorable summer family vacations on Cape Cod and made close friends with the people in Wellfleet. After retirement, Anne lived in Florida, New Mexico and South Carolina and remained in good health and happy spirit for most of her life. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Brian and family,
I'm so sorry to read of your mothers passing.
From what I have read, it sounds as though she had led a very good life.
May she rest in peace.

So very sorry for the loss of your Mother. I was part of the Clapboard Ridge group pf kids , The Maui's, Ricky Warford, Jane Engleman and a bunch of others, we all rode the bus together. Kept in touch with Ricky when he went into the Army. Sending love and fond memories of time spent with your Mom.

I met your mom when Ricky & I hung out in high school, 1961-1962, we use to go to your parents house. Thought of them often through the years, she was always so welcoming to us, seemed to enjoy our company. Still think of Ricky often. My sincere condolences.
