Barbara Raymond Hancock, 79, passed away Thursday, March 07, 2013. She was born May 26, 1933 in Norwalk, CT to the late Phillip and Helen Malkin Raymond. Mrs. Hancock was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Preceding her in death was her husband, Donald T. Hancock; great-granddaughter, Lauryn Lafferty-Bozek, and her siblings, Phillip Raymond III, Jean Simigran, Sylvia Parker, Alfred Raymond, and Donald Raymond. Surviving are her children, Donna Hancock; Tom Hancock, Linda Mello and husband Gary, Patricia Piskura, and Sandy Lafferty; grandchildren, Bryan Gavagan and wife Rheana, Jason Hancock and wife Dawn, Marissa and Nick Mello, Matthew Teicholz and wife MaryBeth, Melissa Gogel and husband Lewis, Amanda and Anthony Piskura, Jessica Bozek and husband Steve, Kristin Austin and husband Jimmy and Kevin Lafferty; great-grandchildren, Aliyna Gavagan, Sierra and Bella Hancock, Robert and Sara Gogel, and Madelyn and Skylar Bozek; siblings, Eleanor Bottler and husband Sal of Norwalk, CT, Larry Raymond and wife Celine of Stratford, CT, Allen Raymond and wife Diane of Norwalk, CT, Richard Raymond of Abbeville, SC, Robert Raymond of Lake Helen, FL, Karen Koski and husband Billy of Lake Helen, FL, Carol Russell of Sebastain, FL, Helen Chaloux of Scotsdale, AZ, and Diane Covill and husband Keith Sr. of Hickory, NC; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A service will be held 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
