To the Werner family,
I worked with Barbara at RESCUE in Bridgewater many years ago. I will never forget her smile and kind spirit. After RESCUE left town, I would visit Barbara every year at the Bridgewater Fair cake wheel. She held my hand when my mom passed away and was always there for me. My heart goes out to her husband and family. She will always have a special place in my heart and memories.

To Barbara Werner's family,

Leo and I are deeply saddened by the loss of Barbara. For over 20 years, Barbara and I got together each June to get the volunteers ready for the Cake Wheel at the Bridgewater Fair. During the year we were busy with our separate lives - family and work - but come early summer, we met to get the Cake Wheel going. Those Bridgewater Fairs and the Cake Wheel booth hold great memories - when the earliest visitors would come to the booth, some were surprised to always see Barb and I - and Barb would say with a straight face, 'Yes, the carnival people just roll us out of the booth and we're here!' We had more fun with the volunteers and all of the visitors to the booth each year. And, it was great spending those evenings together, planning the event and then just 'girl talk'. Barb loved to talk about her family - her grandchildren. She loved you with all of her heart and being - and it was always so good to hear from her how you all were doing. And, we shared our stories about our pet dogs, too. While this is such a sad time, it is also the time to keep those wonderful memories of Barbara close to your heart. I know I will. Love, Leo and Kathy Null, Bridgewater, CT
