Bertha Chartier Obituary

Chartier, Bertha A.
Bertha A. "Brenda" Chartier, 93, of Spring Hill, Florida, formerly of Danbury, CT passed away on February 9, 2016.
Mrs. Chartier was born on January 31, 1923, to William and Emma Paquin, one of ten children, in Fall River, Massachusetts. She had a happy childhood and often spoke of the abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables from her father's gardens and the closeness of her large family. She was an ice skater and spent every weekend at the skating rink with her sister Rita. It was at the rink that she met the love of her life, Felix Chartier, and they married in 1945. In 1951 they relocated to Danbury, CT, where they raised their family together until Mr. Chartier passed away in 1970. In 1980 she relocated to Brooksville, Florida. In 2013 she moved to Rose Manor in Spring Hill where she became part of a family and received excellent care until her passing.
Brenda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Russell and Kathy Chartier of Danbury, CT, and her daughter and son-in-law Pattie and Chip Stith of Kerrville, Texas; her beloved grandchildren, Russell and Jason Chartier, Monique Moody and Carissa Jeansonne, and great grandchildren Noelle, Asher, Joey and Ryan. "Grams" was one of those special grandmothers that made a deep, loving, impact on each of her grandchildren that they will carry with them forever. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, and will always live in our hearts.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

You can only have one mother, patient, kind & true; no other friend in all the world, will be the same to you. When other friends forsake you, to Mom you will return, for all her loving kindness, she asks nothing in return.
.As I look upon her picture, sweet memories I recall, a face so full of sunshine, a smile for one and all. Sweet Jesus, take my message, to Mother up above; tell her how I miss her, and give her all my love.
You never told me that it would be this hard without you...
I love you so much Mom, Pattie
