Candice O'Connell Obituary

Candice O'Connell
Candice J. O'Connell passed away on Friday, September 20th, after a brief battle with Parkinsons and Dementia. Candy, as she was called by everyone, was born in 1950. She spent most of her younger years in New Britain, CT, graduating from Pulaski High School. She furthered her education at Boston University. She has lived in Brookfield, CT, for over 47 years now.
Candy worked at the Brookfield Town Hall. She then started a career in banking that lasted over thirty years. She was the branch manager at Bank of America in Bethel at the time of her retirement in 2018.
Candy was an incredible mom, Nana, and friend. She possessed a strong work ethic that was noticed and admired by many. Candy worked multiple jobs throughout her life to ensure that her family was always secure and cared for. She was a kind, gentle person that always thought of others first.
Candy was a world traveler. She enjoyed sharing destination experiences with her friends. She loved new adventures and exploring new places. She enjoyed her daily Mahjong games, BritBox mystery shows, and visiting Presidential Libraries. Candy also relished the opportunity to spend time with her grandkids as "their Uber driver," and shopping and dinner companion.
Candy is survived by her son, Jeremy and his wife Elizabeth (Santangini) along with their two kids, TJ and Chloe, who were the loves of her life. She loved her family more than anything.
In lieu of services, the family plans on holding a Celebration of Life in December.

Jeremy and family, Candice was a friend to me when I was just a kid starting out in marriage and work life. She laughed easily and was kind. I am grateful to have known her. My deepest condolences to you.
