Catherine Harriet (McDermott) Pawlinski, age 70, of Danbury, formerly of New Fairfield, CT died Monday, July 4, 2016 at Masonic Health Care in Wallingford, CT
She was born September 17, 1946 in Danbury, CT daughter of the late Edward McDermott, Sr. and Doris (Perry) McDermott. She graduated from St. Peter's School in Danbury, Danbury High School and Stamford Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Danbury Hospital for 43 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Social Concerns Committee and volunteered in other areas at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield.
Catherine is survived by her brother: Edward McDermott and his wife Donna of Naugatuck, CT, as well as two nieces and several cousins.
In place of flowers, make contributions to St. Edward the Confessor Church, 21 Brush Hill Rd., New Fairfield, CT 06812, attention Parish Nursing Program or Social Concerns Committee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield, Thursday morning at 11:00. Burial will follow at Mountainview Cemetery, New Fairfield.
There are no calling hours. Hull Funeral Home, Danbury is handling arrangements.

Cathy, was a wonderful Nurse, kind & caring. I have known Cathy for over 40 Yr's. She gave me a wonderful baby shower @ her home 42 Yr's ago. I will miss her,& she will always be in my thoughts & prayers. Donna Yantorno

I was so sorry to hear of Cathy's passing. She was a beautiful person, so kind and caring.and a wonderful nurse. She was my mentor when I first started as a brand new RN at Danbury Hospital. I will never forget how kind and patient she was with me and all her patients.Rest in peace my friend.
