Charles Reardon Obituary

Charles H. Reardon Jr.
Charles H. Reardon Jr., 94, of Ridgefield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, May 16, 2025. He was married to the late Barbara D. Reardon for 58 years. Born in Norwalk, CT on October 10, 1930, he was the son of the late Frances (Roberts) and Charles H. Reardon Sr.
He graduated from Norwalk High School and went on to earn a master's degree in English and Spanish from The University of Connecticut.
Mr. Reardon proudly served 3 ½ years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. A Ridgefield resident since 1964, he taught Spanish at Wilton High School for 32 years and spent several of those years as the cross-country coach. He had a deep love for gardening, family, dogs, maintaining his property, and especially cherishing time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his four sons: Bradford and his partner Tammy; Charles and his wife, WenTing; Michael and his wife, Christine; and Thomas and his wife, Tammy. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Sara, Sydney, Shayla and Michael as well as sister, Charlotte Corbett of Colorado, and was predeceased by his brother, Robert.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street. Interment will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Reardon's memory may be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation - http://www.t2t.org.
