David Allen Witchell

Laingsburg

January 19, 1960 - November 13, 2014

David Allen Witchell age 54 of Laingsburg passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Hospice house of Shiawassee County.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Laingsburg with Pastor Cayle Beagle and Rev. Fr Duaine H. Pamment officiating. Burial will follow in the Laingsburg Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home, Laingsburg Chapel.

David was born on January 19, 1960, the son of William and Pauline (Olhansk) Witchell. He was a 1977 graduate of Laingsburg High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree at Michigan State University. David was a pianist for St. Isidore Catholic Church in Laingsburg, the First Congregational Church of Laingsburg, the Laingsburg Community Singers, and Lansing Catholic Central High School fall musical plays. He was also a pianist for numerous solo and ensemble participants over the years.

He is survived by his brothers, William (Kathryn) Witchell of St. Johns, Daniel (Nanette) Witchell of Laingsburg; and sister, Kay (Ken) Kilmer of Grand Ledge; three nephews, James (Ally) Witchell of NH, Daniel Witchell of Laingsburg and Alex Witchell of Laingsburg; and one niece, Brooke Witchell of Kalamazoo.
