My deepest sympathy to Marie and all of the family. Eddie was a dear dear childhood friend and I am at a loss. We spent our years growing up together. worked at the grocery store in New Britain together and attended CCSC together. Eddie was one of my groomsmen at my wedding. My heart is aching for the loss of my friend. As it is with these days and times, people move away and loose track of one another and so it was with us. I did however connect with Eddie a year or so ago via telephone. I'm glad we were able to spend some time together on the phone. May you rest in peace my friend.

"A teacher affects eternity: he can never know where his influence stops." Mr. V influenced thousands of students while serving as an educator at Danbury High School. In addition, he served as a mentor for so many of us in the Business Department His kind, calm, reflective demeanor brought out the best in us and in turn we were able to bring out the best in our students. He will be fondly remembered by all. Danbury High School Business Department - Mr. Bronitsky, Coach Brough, Ms. Calafiore, Ms. Mohs, Ms. Schullery

Eddie Valentukonis was one of the first teachers that I met at DHS and he seemed to be ageless. From the time we were hired in 1968 and attended a 3 day new faculty orientation together in August 1968; he never seemed to change. Ed was a true educator. He will be missed by many for his kindness, wonderful personality and smile.

My sincerest sympathies to the whole family. Mr. V taught me how to touch type properly at DHS. I couldn't stop myself from looking at my fingers, so he took my keyboard away and gave me a blank one until I was able to do it on my own. Today, part of my job includes teaching typing to my students. I think of him often.
I'm holding you all in my prayers. With deep sympathy, Amy
