Dear Barbara,
Ernie and I spent many hours together as instructors in the TWA simulator at the JFK training center. He was a true professional and was admired and respected by the hundreds of TWA pilots and flight engineers he instructed. We also shared the cockpit while with TWA. Ernie was among the best of the best. Brigitte and I will miss Ernie but our memories of him will last forever.
Please accept our sincere condolences.

Ernie and I were in Aviation Cadet Class 59-C. We traveled together from Texas to Georgia for further pilot training. We made a "Cultural Pit Stop" in New Orleans for some period of time. He made our visit more cultural than this farm boy from Michigan had ever experienced. I can still hear the laughter. God Speed Ernie. Barbara, the rest of Class 59-C is here for you if you need us.
