Gloria Dahill Obituary

Gloria J. Dahill
On May 4, 2023, Heaven was graced with another beautiful soul. Gloria Jean (Barna) Dahill was born in Danbury, CT on February 20, 1949. She passed at home surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with cancer.
Gloria was predeceased by the love of her life, Robert (Bob) A. Dahill along with her parents, Stephen, and Jean (Wildman) Barna and her brother, George A. Barna.
She graduated from Newtown High School in 1967. Then she met Robert A. Dahill, and they were married in 1971. They created a beautiful life together along with 2 beautiful daughters who brought so much love and joy into their world. They were married for 19 years before Robert's passing. She worked for many years at Danbury Hospital in medical billing.
Her greatest love in life were her 2 daughters, Michelle Moore (husband Christopher), and Stacey Dahill, the mother of her 2 grandchildren, Austin and Ashley Connors, whom she loves and adores endlessly along with her two treasured fur babies that crossed the rainbow bridge, Molly and Muffin. Gloria enjoyed gardening, going for walks, watching HGTV, and listening to 60's and country music. Wherever Gloria was, you could be sure to see an angel, which she loved to collect. She was a connoisseur of hot dogs, ice cream and iced tea.
Gloria (Big Sister, Second Mother) loved being surrounded by her family and 11 siblings: Steven Barna, Lawrence Barna (wife Maria), Virginia Kolowski (husband Edward), Beverly Nelson, Bonnie Blair, Darlene Mastriani (husband Vincent), Gary Barna, Janet Milczarski (husband Robert), Denise Day (husband Jeffrey, and Lisa Arnold (husband, Lee), along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many cousins.
Our hearts are broken but truly blessed to have shared a life with such a beautiful, loving, giving and strong soul. Gloria, you are forever loved!
The funeral will be held at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division ST., Danbury, Monday, May 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel. The family will receive friends at the Hull Funeral Home during the hour preceding the service from 10:00 to 11:00.

I wish Michelle and Stacey love and comfort. Gloria was/is an angel and I will always remember her kindness and devotion to my Uncle Bob, and for raising two wonderful daughters. Rest in peace, Gloria.
