Henry Schaffer Obituary

Henry F. Schaffer Henry F. Schaffer, age 73, beloved husband of Lisa, died May 27, 2009 from late stage Parkinson's disease. Before retiring to Fort Myers Beach, he owned and operated with his wife the Carvel Ice Cream store on Route 7 in New Milford. After moving to Fort Myers Beach in 1992, Henry worked as a real estate agent and enjoyed music, spending time with his many friends in Florida and Connecticut and sharing the spectacular views from his beachfront condo on Estero Island. In addition to his wife of almost 50 years, Lisa, Henry leaves behind sons, Henry Schaefer Jr. of San Francisco and Thomas Schaefer of Groveland, Mass.; his brother, Claus Schaefer, of Lohmar, Germany; three grandchildren, Lyssette, Collin and Eric Schaefer; and daughters-in-law, Regina Schaefer and Ann Marie Schaefer.
