Irene Hahn Obituary

Irene I. Hahn, of Southbury, also known as "Reni", passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 at her home. She was the wife of Walter F. Hahn. Mrs. Hahn was born in Stettin, Germany, daughter of the late Erwin and Lucy (Beckmann) Landt. She has resided in Southbury for 20 years, previously living in New Fairfield, CT. She was a member of the Arion Singing Society in New Milford and was a member of the Congregational Church of New Fairfield. Mrs. Hahn enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored. She also enjoyed gardening flowers. Besides her husband, she leaves a son Jeffrey W. Hahn and his wife Susan of New Milford; a sister, Egede Piscitelli and her husband Charles of New Fairfield; three grandchildren, Jeffrey W. Hahn, Jr., Michael A. Hahn and Suzette R. Hahn; a niece, Karen Early and her husband Kevin and a nephew, Stephan Piscitelli and his wife Denise. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Congregational Church of New Fairfield, 20 Gillotti Rd. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492. The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere is in charge of arrangements.
