Jamie Peter Gore

Jamie Peter Gore, a lifelong resident of Danbury, died June 22, 2007, at Danbury Hospital. He was 33. Jamie was born November 12, 1973, the son of Robert A. Gore Jr. and Joan (Piskura) Gore. Jamie enjoyed collecting watches, T-shirts making bracelets, going to Camp Hope in Carmel, N.Y., trips to Foxwoods Casino. He participated in the Special Olympics, receiving several medals, and helped with the cerebral palsy telethon in Danbury, he mostly loved spending time with his pet duck, Quacker.
He is survived by his mother, Joan Gore and stepdad, Louis Higley of Danbury; one brother, Timothy R. Gore and his wife Dana of New Fairfield; two sisters, Tracey Luessenhop and her husband Doug of Sandy Hook, Kim Gore of Danbury. Also survived by four nieces, Kayla Coons, Jennifer and Samantha Sturges and Sarah Gore, and one nephew, Kristopher Coons. He was predeceased by his father, Robert A. Gore Jr.
The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, where a funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Camp Hope, P.O Box 670, Carmel, NY 10512-0670.
