Jonathan David Obituary
Jonathan William David, age 31, of Danbury, died Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in New Castle, NY, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Jon was born in Danbury, CT, March 5, 1981, son of William David and his wife Katherine of New Fairfield and Caryl Lucchesi and her husband Albert Wasko of Danbury. A lifelong Danbury resident, he attended King Street School, was a 1998 graduate of Danbury High School and a 2003 graduate of Western Connecticut State University. He was a former member of Boy Scout Troop 52, was on the Track & Field Team at Danbury High during his senior year, played rugby at WESTCONN and was an avid skier. He was a Computer Administrator for various companies in the area. Jonathan taught himself to play guitars and played avidly. He wrote music, built his own guitars and was constantly rebuilding and tinkering with computers. In addition to his parents he is survived by his beautiful daughter; grandparents: John and Caryl Lucchesi, Sr. of Bridgewater, CT; step-grandmother: Stella Wasko of Stratford, CT; brothers: Christopher David and his girlfriend Terri Phan of Danbury, Alex and Jack David of New Fairfield; step-sister: Stephanie Cooper and her husband Troy of Branford, CT, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents: Eva and William David, formerly of Danbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jonathan's memory may be made to the Danbury Hospital Development Fund, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, 24 Hospital Ave., Danbury, CT 06810. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Danbury, Saturday morning at 10:00. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Danbury. There are no calling hours. Can't believe that it has been 3 years. You are always in my thoughts and I miss you everyday. So glad we had been laughing before you left the house that terrible night. You've been there as the moon when I needed you to be there to guide me and keep me company. Always grateful. You would be so proud of Chris and Eva. Chris is doing so well at Allstate and as a condo owner, plus having the 2 dogs . Terri and Bella are so good for him. Eva has you and Jane's intelligence and is such an amazing girl. Happy birthday Jon. We missed you tonight at dinner, but we know you were there. Good time with the family. With the recent events, I know you both played a part in making them happen. It is a good sign and a Blessing. Miss you all the time. You are my guide when I look out and see the moon without expecting it to be right in my line of vision. Always a reminder. Thank you both for all your help. Eva is such a beautiful girl and has both of your "smarts". You'd be so proud of her. Pam and David have done a fantastic job. Will always be grateful. Hi Jon I miss u so much! Today is a day where the family remembers you the most... I enjoy 9th grade so much, but it's still not the same without! I know Chris, jack , Terri, Dad and Your Mom really miss you, of course, I do also. You will always be in our thoughts,memories,and every thing we do! I promise I will visit soon! I miss and love you with all my heart Jon.. There's never a day that goes by me and Chris and mom stop thinking about you.. I know I never told but you were like a brother to me.. We would laugh n argue like we were one.. You used to tell me things and it was nice to have someone there to listen to my struggles.. I never in a million year thought I would experience such a tragic thing especially to my own boyfriends brother.. I'm just so speechless ..right now all I have to do is think about the happy thoughts and memories we had with you.. He was a great person and had a great heart. I always looked forward to seeing him when I went back east when I was little. So many great memories we had we when were growing up. I remember when he came out to visit us in California. We had such a great time laughing and having heart to heart conversations about growing up, family and just life in general. He will truly be missed and I can't believe we have lost him so soon. I know your in a better place. Say hi to grandma and grandpa for me.

Jon was a great guy and a wonderful cousin. He was the first person that let me use a computer and the internet, guided me when I started playing guitar and is a pretty big influence on who I am today. Words can't express how much I'll miss you Jon. My thoughts are with you Uncle Bill and Chris.

John John was a carefree kind of guy that had an infectious smile. I got to play rugby with him at WCSU in the late 90s. Prayers and warm thoughts from Terry, Mary, Bill, and Tom Dunkle.
Last December 23, Jon stopped at our house to reminisce about his friendship with our John, whom we had lost six months earlier. Jon said that he was on his way to his uncle's house for a Christmas party and couldn't stay long -- but we ended up talking for 45 minutes in our foyer. Here is a picture from that occasion. We never dreamed it would be the last time we saw Jon.
