Louis Chiarella Obituary

Louis A. Chiarella Louis A. Chiarella, age 92, of Danbury, passed away at Glen Hill/Harborside Health Care Center on Monday morning. Louie was the husband of the late Dolorita " Dolie " G. (Dyer) Chiarella who passed away in 1996. He was born in Danbury, January 10,1916 son of the late Philip and Rose (Talarico ) Chiarella. He attended local schools, and was a Corporal in the United States Army serving in The European Theater during World War II. Louie was appointed to the Danbury Fire Department February 2,1957 and was promoted to lieutenant July 8, 1971 and retired January 10, 1981. He was an usher and member of St. Peter Church and the Holy Name society, a member DARF Danbury Area Retired Firefighters, Catholic War Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 149 and past member of The Knights of Columbus. Prior to being appointed to the Danbury Fire Department he was former member and past Captain of the Beckerle Hose Volunter Fire Co. He is survived by his daughters, Sharon A. Ryan of New Fairfield, and Suzanne K. Densk and her husband, Otto of Danbury; grandchildren Daniel Ryan and his wife, Dawn, Mark Ryan and his wife, Jennifer, Lori Bushing, and her husband, Christopher and Gerald Densk and his wife, Michaele and Ronald Densk and his wife, Anne; great grandchildren, Lindsay and Connor Ryan, Shaun and Taylor Bushing, Jonathan L. and Carter Densk and Nicholas and Jack Ryan, also several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predecease d by four brothers and three sisters A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Church on Friday morning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Green Funeral Home 57 Main St., Danbury on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Contributions in Louie's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Healing Hearts 73 Stadley Rough Rd., Danbury, CT 06811.
