Patrick J. O'Brien
Patrick J O'Brien, 79, of Danbury, husband of the late Martha (Glew) O'Brien, died on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the Danbury Hospital.
Mr. O'Brien was born in the Bronx, NY, on October 23, 1942, a son of the late Jeremiah J. and Dorothy (Giannini) O'Brien. He attended New York schools.
A resident of Danbury since 1985, coming from Yonkers, NY, Mr. O'Brien was a retired systems programmer with the U.S. Tobacco Co. of Greenwich. An advocate and supporter of animal rights, Mr. O'Brien was also an active member of St. Joseph R.C. Church of Danbury.
Mr. O'Brien is survived by two brothers, Jeremiah O'Brien and his wife, Donna of New City and Joseph O'Brien of the Bronx, NY; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church, Danbury.
Entombment will follow in the Grand View Mausoleum of Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
There will be no calling hours.
Contributions in Mr. O'Brien's memory may be made to St. Joseph Church, 8 Robinson Ave., Danbury 06810, or to Wells Valley Cat Rescue, P.O. Box 567, New Milford, CT 06776.
