Richard Doty Obituary
Richard Eugene Doty, Sr., age 59, of Danbury, CT died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Danbury Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Manhattan, NY, March 31, 1957, son of the late Harry Eugene and Carolyn Ann (Lypen) Doty. He attended Danbury schools and had worked at Unimar Corp, Wilton in Shipping & Receiving. He was an avid Patriots and NASCAR fan, and also liked woodworking, fishing and hunting. He loved Rock and Roll and Country music and had played with the Danbury Industrial Softball League in the 1980's.
Richard is survived by his sons: Richard E. Doty, Jr. of Danbury, CT, Josh E. Doty of Lafayette, IN; daughter: Rebekah E. Doty of Danbury; brothers: Keith C. Doty of Florida, Darin P. Doty of Danbury; his ex-wives: Christine Cormier and Brenda Benton both of Danbury. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister: Caroli Doty Carlson.
The family will receive friends at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division St., Danbury, Friday evening May 13, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 7:30 with Deacon Richard Kovacs officiating.
