What a guy! I have known Bob all my life. I knew him as a sweet man with a great smile and giggle. But a lovely man always welcoming and interested in others.
Fast forward to my married life and Bob and my husband talked about flying all the time.
It was a piece I did not know about him as I was growing up because Bob was never about himself. It was always about who he was with.
I went all through school with my cousins but most closely with Margo, my age and class in high school. Our dads always made us proud.
When I lost my dad and attended a memorial in his honor, I was not surprised to see Bob there honoring him.
We are family.
And our dads and moms are together once more and I am sure, very proud of the families they have left behind, for now.
May he rest in peace.

As a child growing up on Southern Blvd. Bob and his family were very close friends and we often celebrated holidays together and so much more. I hold these many memories closely in my heart and mind. It is through those memories that Bob will live on forever.
You will be missed by me and so many more Bob but your job is done here and you did it extremely well with honesty, true friendship and with a huge heart filled with joy and laughter to share with all. Rest easy Bob as you are respected, honored for your service to our country and deeply missed.
I consider myself honored and privileged to be called "friend" by you.

RIP, my dear friend.

Your neighbor and friend,

Envision your Dad as a plane in flight. It slowly takes altitude and ascends into the sky. It slowly leaves the airport and heads into the clouds as you remain behind - waving and shouting - "Goodbye"! You continue your farewell as the plane gradually becomes smaller - and the distance between you and it becomes greater. The last few seconds of connection slip away. The plane is gone. It has flown beyond the horizon. At that precise moment, a crowd is gathering on another land. Eager eyes are focused on the horizon. Suddenly a voice cries out - "There he is - he's coming!" Still in full flight, the plane is greeted by waving arms and jumping legs with shouts of "Welcome!" Bob is not alone. He is being embraced by family and friends. He is safely on another landing strip, ready to start a new adventure. With love, Margo and Margret Maloney

Judy - Bob has been called home, he was a good Dad and loved his Judy so very much. You were an amazing caregiver who allowed him so much fun in his latest years. He was your toy to play with and dress up, he was your partner in crime but most of all he was your sweet Dad. Your mom will be welcoming him with the biggest hug! You should be very proud of yourself for all you did for him. my heart is with you - you done good!! xoxo - Cacky
