Died: October 17, 2021 in Utica, IL
Elizabeth J. Pittman, 86, of LaSalle, died in the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Utica on October 17, 2021.
Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Thursday in the Hurst Funeral Home in LaSalle. Visitation will be from 4:00 until time of services. Private Burial will be at St. Vincent's Cemetery in LaSalle.
Mrs. Pittman was born in LaSalle on May 17, 1935 to Joseph and Angeline (Kralj) Bersztatis. She married Robert K. Thompson on October 8, 1955. He passed away on August 2, 1989. Elizabeth then married Donald Pittman on October 8, 1994 and he passed away on December 25, 2015. She worked at Westclox, Hobbs, and retired from Todd Uniform. Mrs. Pittman enjoyed gardening, flowers, shopping, and cooking. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed all animals. She was an avid Green Bay Packer and Chicago Bulls fan.
Mrs. Pittman is survived by one son; Thomas (Valerie) Thompson of Utica, two daughters; Sherie (Justin) Rutledge of Havana, and Roberta (Steve) DeFoe of Dalzell, one step-son; James Pittman of New Lenox, four grandchildren; Amberleigh (Tim) Underwood, Brentton (Cindy) Thompson, Samantha (Aaron) Engel, and Sgt. Jonathan (Jennifer) Grotzinger, seven great grandchildren; Olivia, Xander, Gabriella, Brock, Ella, Adaline, and Dawson, nieces, nephews, and her dog Ezee.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, two step children; Leslie Schaper and Mark Donnelly, and one brother; Joseph Bersztatis.
